It’s the bore of consistency, not the excitement of the new that make entrepreneurs thrive

On Saturday I was listening to a podcast on “The joys of being an absolute beginner – for life” by The Guardian that made me rethink the reasons for startups failing to make it past their first year in business…

When you’re starting out, everything is new, you’re pioneering and all your actions are taken with a deliberate focus. With the passage of time, as your actions become repetitive, you loose your attention to detail and with it excellence, especially when you’re busy managing anything and everything.

That’s the beginning of the end for many…

SPARK OF THE DAY

As entrepreneurs we know that starting out is hard, but keeping a consistent level of quality how you serve your customers is what sets apart the successful ones from the not so successful ones.

If you’re able to continue to thrive for excellence after that first excitement is gone, that’s the real game changer!
