When second best becomes optimal

It’s a feeling quite a few entrepreneurs will recognise I think: you’re right before the big launch and Murphy seems to have it in for you in that everything that can go wrong goes wrong… and to keep your balls in the air you’re going to have to drop all other.
You’re loosing all sense of reality trying to keep what you think is the focus. That’s more or less the dark tunnel where I’ve been spending my time these last few days.
I was so focused on solving one problem after another, that I missed out on the fact that my point of reference had changed. I should have accepted that I was going to miss my deadline anyway, and with that new reality I should have stopped trying to go after last week’s ideal solution, and instead have found a new solution that was optimal for the there and then.
SPARK OF THE DAY
To see clearly, you need perspective, distance… only then you can see that instead of trying to reach the light at the end of the tunnel, maybe it is more worthwhile to simply get out of the tunnel and find a new direction to aim for.
Only when you’re able to see the bigger perspective, you’ll see the other solutions again…
