Yesterday I was walking in town when a flower vendor approached me to buy flowers from him. Automatically I said no and walked on… then my mind caught up and I realised that actually, I would have loved to buy some flowers… so when the next flower vendor approached me he made a sale.
What happened? When it came to wanting to buy flowers, where the first vendor activated the latent need in me, the second vendor profited!
The experience I had in interacting with the flower vendors, I believe is a very nice example of how our minds work as customers… a great showcase for entrepreneurs and startups bringing a new product or service to the market!
