How I sometimes struggle to get excited about referral customers

One of the biggest energy drainers I experienced  these past few weeks, has been chasing after opportunities well-meaning friends opened up for me. Great opportunities I should have been grateful for, but which as a creative, I didn’t always “feel”. I didn’t want to miss out either, hence I found myself pushing instead of flowing.

I found that as a service provider, without my creativity and drive I struggle to connect, create and deliver – it’s difficult to succeed when you’re stuck in low energy.

Sometimes I wish I simply could move stock from an inventory and sell that instead.

SPARK OF THE DAY

It may sound straightforward, but what has helped me in changing low energy opportunities into high energy ones, is by taking ownership of the ask and translate it to something that excites me as well, so not just responding only to what the customer needs.

Selling has to go two ways, hence I better make sure I buy into what I do as much as I want my (potential) customer to.
